Carrier Global Corporation to Expand Its Digital Solutions Available on AWS

Carrier Global Corporation, the leading provider of sustainable and intelligent building solutions, has announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer additional industry-leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions on the AWS Marketplace. The collaboration will include offerings in the areas of HVAC performance, sustainability, and safety and security, and is part of Carrier’s growing investment in digitally enabled lifecycle solutions designed to improve the health and safety of indoor environments.

The collaboration builds on Carrier’s work with AWS after joining the AWS Partner Network in 2021 to deliver digital solutions such as Abound and Lynx to new customers. The Abound digital platform, powered by AWS, offers a suite of smart connected solutions for healthier, safer, and more sustainable buildings. It aggregates, analyzes, and visualizes data collected from various building systems, equipment, and sensors to provide near real-time insights about indoor air quality, thermal comfort, and energy usage. Abound is used in a wide range of industries, including commercial real estate, sports and entertainment venues, healthcare facilities, schools, hotels, and retail.

Using AWS IoT Core, analytics, and machine learning services, Carrier’s Lynx digital platform provides customers around the world with enhanced visibility, increased connectivity, and actionable intelligence across their cold chain operations to improve outcomes for temperature-sensitive cargo, including food, medicine, and vaccines. Both Abound and Lynx were recognized by Fast Company as World Changing Ideas in 2022.

The strategic collaboration agreement between Carrier and AWS is a multi-year engagement that brings investments together to accelerate thier digital capabilities, and go-to-market initiatives and deliver even more value to its customers through digital solutions.

“Customers across various industries are looking for digital solutions to increase efficiencies, gain insights and better operate their businesses. Working together with Carrier, AWS will make it easier for customers to use cloud infrastructure to deliver additional capabilities and increasing value,” said Flemming Kongsberg, Director, Business Application Alliances, AWS.

“We’re excited to work with Carrier to bring new cloud-based digital solutions that will help companies reduce complexity and enhance their operational advantage.”

The strategic collaboration between Carrier Global Corporation and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is likely to be welcomed by tech executives as it expands the range of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions available on the AWS Marketplace and demonstrates the growing demand for digitally enabled lifecycle solutions in the building and cold chain industries.

This collaboration could potentially provide new opportunities for tech executives to work with Carrier and AWS on the development and implementation of these SaaS solutions, particularly in the areas of HVAC performance, sustainability, and safety and security. This strategic collaboration is likely to be seen as a positive development for customers as it expands the range of solutions available and demonstrates the growing demand for digital solutions in these industries.
