HashiCorp and Google Cloud will launch new product capabilities powered by Vertex AI and add support for Duet AI to help enhance automation workflows for developers

Google Cloud and HashiCorp, Inc. have announced an expansion of their partnership to enhance automation and accelerate the cloud transformation efforts of their mutual customers. The collaboration aims to launch new AI-powered features across HashiCorp’s product suite, leveraging Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform.

Vertex AI and HashiCorp

Vertex AI, Google Cloud’s platform, assists customers in discovering, customizing, augmenting, deploying, and managing their AI projects. As part of the partnership, Google Cloud will become a preferred AI provider for HashiCorp.

HashiCorp plans to use Vertex AI to develop new interfaces for joint customers, helping them use natural language commands and automate common tasks, including dashboard and insight development. Furthermore, the two companies intend to train new AI models specifically tuned for HashiCorp customers’ common use cases.

Duet AI for Developers

In addition to the expanded partnership, HashiCorp will add support for Google Cloud’s Duet AI for Developers. This tool will be trained with product information on Terraform to provide assistance in writing configurations and automating infrastructure.

Long-Standing Partnership

HashiCorp and Google Cloud have a history of working closely together to deliver innovation and value to mutual customers, including Deutsche Bank, Simpli.fi, and Vodafone. This expanded relationship underscores the commitment Google Cloud and HashiCorp have to support mutual customers with new offerings and capabilities.

Gabe Monroy, Vice President, Product Management at Google Cloud, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that it will bring new generative AI capabilities to joint customers, helping them accelerate their AI journeys. Armon Dadgar, CTO and co-founder at HashiCorp, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the benefits this partnership will bring to their shared customers.

Partnering for Innovation

Among the partners, Aible and DataStax have been notable for their contributions. Aible offers a simple interface where users can start chatting and asking questions, leveraging their structured and unstructured data in their virtual private cloud. DataStax, on the other hand, provides organizations with the cloud database and streaming technologies they need to build real-time, human-like, gen AI-powered digital experiences.

Expanding the AI Ecosystem

Google Cloud is also expanding its AI ecosystem by bringing the best of Google’s infrastructure, AI products, and foundation models to partners at every layer of the AI stack. This includes chipmakers, companies building foundation models and AI platforms, technology partners enabling companies to develop and deploy machine learning (ML) models, app-builders solving customer use-cases with generative AI, and global services and consulting firms that help enterprise customers implement all of this technology at scale.
