Hinduja Tech Expands eMobility Capabilities with Acquisition of Drive System Design

Hinduja Tech, a leading provider of engineering and technology services, announced today that it has acquired Drive System Design (DSD), a specialist in the design and development of electric drivetrain systems. The acquisition will allow Hinduja Tech to expand its leadership in the global e-mobility industry and offer a broader range of services to its customers.

DSD has a strong track record in the e-mobility industry, with a portfolio of more than 100 electric drivetrain systems for a range of applications, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-highway vehicles. The company’s expertise in electric motor design and control systems will complement Hinduja Tech’s existing capabilities and allow the company to offer a more comprehensive suite of e-mobility solutions.

The acquisition of Drive System Design is an important milestone in Hinduja Tech’s growth journey in the eMobility industry. DSD has been focused on futuristic powertrain technology (ePT) since its inception over 15 years ago and has a state-of-the-art infrastructure in the UK and the United States,”

Kumar Prabhas, CEO, Hinduja Tech.

The acquisition of DSD is part of Hinduja Tech’s strategy to grow its presence in the e-mobility market and to capitalize on the increasing demand for futuristic powertrain technology. The company has already established itself as a leader in the e-mobility industry, with a strong portfolio of engineering and technology services and a team of highly skilled experts.

“We believe that HT is the right partner at the right time and see this as a tremendous opportunity for the long-term future and expanded capabilities of DSD,”

Mark Findlay, CEO of Drive System Design.

He added “As part of the HT family, DSD will be able to increase its reach through HT’s global business model and full vehicle development and integration expertise. It is an ideal complement to DSD’s advanced engineering capabilities in transmission, driveline, motor design, power electronics and simulation.”
