Social Mobile unveils Device-as-a-Service offering for enterprise mobility

In a recent press release, Social Mobile, a provider of enterprise mobility solutions with a focus on Android Enterprise development, announced the launch of Social Mobile ONE, a Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) offering for fully customized enterprise mobility solutions on a subscription-based model.

The DaaS offering, Social Mobile ONE, provides clients with a comprehensive mobility solution that includes enterprise-grade hardware, device management software, managed mobility services, and cellular connectivity. This allows organizations to benefit from a mobility solution that is tailored to their specific needs, without the large capital expenditures typically associated with traditional enterprise mobility solutions.

Many organizations today rely on consumer-grade devices to power business-critical operations and processes, which can be less secure and more expensive to manage and support. According to VDC Research Group, the average annual total cost of ownership (TCO) for a consumer-grade device ranges from $4,000 to $5,000 per device, depending on form factor. In contrast, enterprise-grade devices, like those built by Social Mobile, have a TCO that is on average 40% less. This translates into significant savings for clients across various industries, including healthcare, retail, and hospitality.

The DaaS model is particularly attractive for businesses facing economic volatility, supply chain restrictions, and the growing demand for mobility applications. Social Mobile ONE allows organizations to optimize IT spending through a predictable and scalable OpEx model, and optimize budgets through a single vendor.

“We felt that this was the ideal time to launch a Device-as-a-Service offer,” said Tyler Forst, Chief Revenue Officer of Social Mobile. “The growth of enterprise mobility combined with tightening budgets means that Social Mobile ONE is ideally positioned to provide clients with a flexible and affordable solution to help navigate the economic uncertainties facing the world.”

What’s in Social Mobile ONE

The Social Mobile ONE offering is not limited to hardware and device management software, but also encompasses a comprehensive array of managed mobility services. These services encompass global staging and kitting, asset tagging, help desk support, device depot maintenance and repair, ensuring a seamless deployment and ongoing support for the mobility solution. Additionally, the offering includes wireless connectivity options, enabling devices to access 5G and LTE networks across the U.S. and worldwide, ensuring that devices and users are constantly connected.

Moreover, the Social Mobile ONE offering grants clients the capability to fully customize their enterprise-grade devices and accessories, which includes smartphones, tablets, point-of-sale terminals, and kiosks. Social Mobile will create any device that conforms to the client’s specifications, fully Google GMS certified and guaranteed to be available for a minimum of three years. This level of customization further exemplifies Social Mobile’s dedication to providing a solution that is tailored to the unique needs of each client.

“We are thrilled to announce the availability of Social Mobile ONE for all clients in the U.S. and worldwide” said Tyler Forst, Chief Revenue Officer of Social Mobile. “Currently, we are including all of Social Mobile’s offerings, and in the future, we intend to expand the Social Mobile ONE portfolio to include more devices and solutions.”
